概要

Viruses and malware infect millions of computers worldwide, and some of you may even see related breaking news on a daily basis. In many cases, attackers exploit software bugs, such as buffer overflows or poorly written code, to spread malicious programs across computer and network systems. The aim is to extort businesses, resulting in billions of dollars in damages annually. This MOOC course introduces the fundamentals of cybersecurity, including software vulnerabilities, encryption, authentication protocols, and common security threats in both Windows and Linux environments. Students will also gain hands-on experience using tools like Metasploit and Nmap in Kali Linux to identify and exploit potential network vulnerabilities. Additionally, the course offers an overview of AI-driven security and defense mechanisms to help protect enterprise systems against attacks and privacy breaches. Finally, it explores the future vision of cybersecurity, addressing topics such as data protection, post-quantum security protocols, cyberwarfare, privacy-enhancing technologies, and next-generation defense strategies in the emerging quantum era.

课程目标

1. This MOOC course introduces the fundamentals of cybersecurity, including software vulnerabilities, encryption, authentication protocols, and common security threats in both Windows and Linux environments.

2. Students will also gain hands-on experience using tools like Metasploit and Nmap in Kali Linux to identify and exploit potential network vulnerabilities.

阮文齡 老師 Dr. Van-Linh Nguyen

教師簡介

Van-Linh Nguyen is a faculty member in
the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National
Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan, where he also leads the Cyber Information Security Laboratory (CIS Lab). He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from CCU in 2019. His research interests span cybersecurity, wireless communications, quantum machine learning, and usable artificial intelligence.

阮文齡是國立中正大學資訊工程學系的專任教師,並擔任網路資訊安全實驗室負責人。他於2019年取得國立中正大學資訊工程學系博士學位。其研究興趣涵蓋資安、無線通訊、量子機器學習以及可用性人工智慧等領域。

Students will learn to use tools like Metasploit and Nmap in Kali Linux to identify network vulnerabilities, and understand how to apply advanced techniques and tools to mitigate or even prevent such threats.
